This Privacy Policy ("Policy") describes how information is collected, used, and shared when you use the donation processing platform ("Platform") accessible at donations.winthehouse.gop and sites.winthehouse.gop. The Platform is operated by 1772 Strategies LLC ("Operator", "we", "us", or "our"), a technology services company, on behalf of the Committee to Elect House Republicans ("CTEHR"). CTEHR is a political committee registered with the New Hampshire Secretary of State.
By using the Platform, you consent to the practices described in this Policy.
1. Information We Collect
We collect different types of information depending on how you interact with the Platform:
Donor Information (provided by you when making a donation):
- Full name
- Mailing address (street, city, state, ZIP code)
- Email address
- Phone number
- Employer name
- Occupation
This information is required by New Hampshire campaign finance law (RSA 664) and is necessary to process your political contribution.
Candidate/Campaign Information (provided when creating an account):
- Candidate name, committee name, and district
- Campaign contact information
- Bank account information (collected and stored by Stripe, not by us)
- EIN or tax identification information (collected and stored by Stripe)
Automatically Collected Information:
- IP address
- Browser type and version
- Device type and operating system
- Pages visited, referral source, and time spent on the Platform
- Cookies and similar tracking identifiers (see Section 5)
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- Processing Donations: To facilitate political contributions from Donors to Candidates via Stripe.
- Campaign Finance Compliance: To collect and provide donor information required by federal and state campaign finance laws.
- Transaction Receipts: To send email confirmations and receipts for donations.
- Platform Administration: To manage accounts, monitor for fraud, resolve disputes, and maintain Platform operations.
- Communication: To contact Candidates about their accounts, platform updates, or policy changes.
- Analytics: To understand how the Platform is used and improve our services.
- Security: To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access.
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
We share information in the following limited circumstances:
- With the Candidate's Campaign: Donor information (name, address, email, phone, employer, occupation, donation amount, and date) is shared with the specific Candidate's campaign committee that received the donation. This data is necessary for the campaign's compliance and communication purposes.
- Public Campaign Finance Filings: Donor information may be included in public campaign finance reports filed by the Candidate with the NH Secretary of State or other regulatory bodies, as required by law. This is the Candidate's legal obligation; the Operator does not file these reports.
- Stripe: Payment and identity information is shared with Stripe, Inc. for payment processing, fraud prevention, and merchant account verification. Stripe's use of your data is governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy.
- Platform Administrators: Authorized administrators of the Operator and CTEHR have access to donor data and transaction records for platform management, support, and compliance purposes.
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, court order, or government investigation, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of the Operator, CTEHR, or others.
4. Third-Party Services
The Platform uses the following third-party services that may collect or process your data:
- Stripe, Inc. — Payment processing. Stripe collects and stores payment card information (card number, expiration date, CVC) directly. No payment card data is ever stored on or transmitted through the Operator's servers. All payment fields are rendered by Stripe Elements in secure iframes. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.
- Google Analytics (GA4) — Website analytics and usage tracking. Collects anonymized usage data, page views, and user interactions. See Google's Privacy Policy.
- Google Tag Manager — Tag management for analytics and marketing scripts. See Google's Privacy Policy.
- Meta Pixel (Facebook) — Conversion tracking and advertising analytics. Collects page visit data and interaction events. See Meta's Privacy Policy.
- Cloudflare Turnstile — Bot detection and form security. Collects device and browser signals to verify human users. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
- Amazon Web Services (AWS) SES — Email delivery for transaction receipts and notifications. Email addresses are transmitted to AWS for delivery purposes. See AWS Privacy Policy.
- Amazon Web Services (AWS) S3 — Secure file storage for uploaded campaign materials and documents. See AWS Privacy Policy.
5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
The Platform uses cookies and similar technologies for the following purposes:
- Essential Cookies: Required for Platform functionality, including session management, form security (Cloudflare Turnstile), and payment processing (Stripe).
- Analytics Cookies: Google Analytics (GA4) uses cookies to collect anonymized usage data, including pages visited, time on site, and referral sources. These cookies help us understand how the Platform is used and improve the experience.
- Advertising/Tracking Cookies: Meta Pixel and Google Tag Manager may place cookies to track conversions and user interactions for advertising measurement purposes.
Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. Disabling cookies may affect the functionality of the Platform, particularly payment processing and form submissions.
6. Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including:
- All data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS encrypted connections.
- Payment card information is handled entirely by Stripe's PCI-DSS compliant infrastructure and never touches our servers.
- Database access is restricted to authorized personnel only.
- The Platform is hosted on secured infrastructure with regular security updates.
However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your information.
7. Data Retention
- Active Accounts: Donor data and transaction records are retained for as long as the Candidate's account remains active on the Platform.
- After Termination: Upon account termination, donor data and transaction records will be available for export for 90 days. After 90 days, the Operator may delete the account and associated data.
- Legal Obligations: Certain data may be retained longer if required by law or necessary for compliance with campaign finance record-keeping requirements.
- Analytics Data: Anonymized analytics data collected by third-party services (Google Analytics, Meta Pixel) is retained according to those services' own retention policies.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Access: You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Correction: You may request correction of inaccurate information.
- Deletion: You may request deletion of your personal information, subject to legal retention requirements. Note that donor information included in filed campaign finance reports is part of the public record and cannot be deleted from those filings.
- Opt-Out of Tracking: You can disable analytics and advertising cookies through your browser settings or by using browser extensions that block tracking scripts.

9. Children's Privacy
The Platform is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Federal and state law prohibit political contributions from minors in most circumstances.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to active Candidates via email. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page will be revised to reflect the most recent changes. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
